I’ve been feeding raw since 2014. I have always fed Courtlyn. I’ve found that it’s the best value and great quality. The dogs love it and I enjoy being able to mix and match proteins as I choose. This way my dogs never get bored.
I originally switched to raw because my dogs would randomly go off their kibble. Some liked certain brands, or flavours and then when the company changed their recipe I had to start the process all over again. Some of my dogs had tummy issues on kibble as well. I’ve never had an issue with raw. Not once.
The quality of my dogs teeth have also improved drastically being on raw. They had bad breath and their teeth were a mess on kibble. No amounts of brushing or scaling seemed to help. Since being on raw, their teeth are considerably better. Nothing replaces proper oral care, but the quality of food has helped make the job a lot easier.
I do not foresee my dogs ever being on kibble again.

I’ve been a dog mom for a LOT of years (probably 30 or so) and never gave much thought to what I fed my furry family.
But in 2016, after my old boy was diagnosed with some health issues, and after a LOT of research, I knew that raw was the way to go. I tried some other brands that were commercially available, but was never really happy with the availability or quality (or price!!) I was getting at the time.
I can’t remember how exactly I stumbled upon Courtlyn and Edmonton Raw Food (formerly Bonafido), but I took a chance and gave it a try.
In the last 7 years, Courtlyn has NEVER disappointed. I’ve been a constant customer and refer everyone I know with a pet to their products. The quality and variety of their offerings has been second to none and the selection adds excitement and diversity to how feed my dogs. It’s clear that Courtlyn truly cares about their product and the wellbeing of their customer’s pets.
The wonderful people with Edmonton Raw Food are the most amazing I’ve ever met. They are quick to communicate any product changes, and I don’t even know how they sort and move ALL of that food. I look forward to our bi-weekly chats on pick up day - even if they make me ‘almost late’ for a dinner date (just kidding Patricia!!). The pick up schedules are so convenient, and the ladies are incredibly accommodating for us people who are bad at math and run out of food before the next delivery (I’m guilty here!!).
My older boys have since passed (ages 17 and 15), but I absolutely know that their diets played an integral part in their longevity and quality of life. Since then, Courtlyn products are the sole source of my raw feeding, and my current (crazy) household of blue heelers will only be served Courtlyn blends.’

I have been a dog owner my whole adult life and fed kibble until I was educated on the benefits of fresh food. After some research I decided to take the plunge. I have been telling everyone I know about raw ever since!
I have been feeding Courtlyn since 2019 to my 2 husky mix dogs. Every vet visit and blood test has shown my dogs are in top health!
Thank you to Annette and Patricia for answering all my questions. Thank you for always being up front with any changes and thank you for being so kind.
♡ my puppies are healthy and happy, in part because of Edmonton Raw!
Keep up the great work,

Chewie Lewis came to my family in May 2017, the breeder was feeding him Eukanuba puppy food. Chewie was always sick with diarrhea, vomiting and lots of stomach issues. He was diagnosed with Giardia, IBS, sensitive stomach etc. I switched vets 2 times, but he wasn’t getting any better.
Finally, 6 months later I met Annette, and she suggested a raw diet, I had heard about the raw diet, but I didn’t know how to feed it or buy it. Annette puppy sit Chewie for a week and switched him to a raw diet.
Chewie’s stomach issues disappeared! He was finally thriving. It was like night and day.
Chewie has been eating Courtlyn Raw food most of his life, he loves it. In January 2020, I got my second dog Nyx Nut I switched her to Raw and never looked back.
Chewie is now 7 and Nyx is 4 and they are healthy, happy and perfect.

We have been feeding our Olde English Bulldogge, Mollymoo Wigglebutt (Molly for short), Courtlyn raw food since the summer of 2015. She was just over 2 years old at the time. Molly is allergic to most items that are in traditional kibble foods, even the hypoallergenic foods – chicken, potatoes, rice, corn, carrots, barley, and the list goes on. After doing some research we decide the best option for her was to try a raw diet. A friend recommended Courtlyn to us and we haven’t looked back.
Her health improved significantly – reduced ear infections, improved skin conditions, and improved demeanor. Molly just celebrated her 11th birthday February 2024 which is an astounding age for her breed whose lifespan is expected to be 8 to 9 years old! We and her vet agree that her long lifespan can in part be attributed to her raw food diet and also attributed to the rest of our pack that keep her active. Molly has slowed down but continues to be an active part of our family and loves her Courtlyn ground turkey (without any veggies).
Our newest member to our fur family has also started on Courtlyn raw. He is a lovely 115 pound, 4 year old Mastiff that we adopted. Since he joined our family and switched to raw his gastrointestinal problems have gone away and his “output” has significantly decreased and is much healthier.
We supplement our raw food with probiotics, kelp, a multivitamin powder and salmon oil. For our mastiff, we also add a variety of mixed fruits and vegetables. Molly just gets some pumpkin. I can’t say enough good things about raw food – it extends life, improves the physical and mental health of our furry family members, is affordable, and is easy to manage.

Meet Murray, the world’s most unusual, but ever loving dog! Around the age of 2 1/2, Murray had digestion issues and I decided to change him to raw food. Immediately, I noticed a difference! Every time he went to the bathroom the difference in size, smell and look were 100 times better than before.
But not only did it solve his digestive issues, it has vastly improved his life, his overall health, energy and endurance and agility. It’s not every day that you meet a 10 year old dog who can walk an hour and a half without tiring and wanting to go more and is capable of staying with the young dogs running around the dog park.
Raw dog food has given my dog the ability to live a full and healthy life even in his senior years! I am glad I chose to go raw. I will never ever go back!

I began feeding raw in the late 1980’s early 90’s. When I started down this raw road I was doing my research (pre Google) and frequenting butcher shops looking for scraps and bones. To this day I’m grateful to my friend Becky for introducing me to Courtlyn Custom in 2012. I liked the food and the price point. A couple of years later, I started selling Courtlyn.
Their recipes are simple. All the ingredients (meat, bone, organ) are from the same animal/bird unless noted on the label. That’s it. If I want fruits and veg I add them. If I want supplements like kelp or spirulina or green lipped mussel, I can add them. This is important to me because my first Doberman developed auto immune disease and reacted badly to some proteins and other ingredients commonly found in dog food.
The product is always fresh. Courtlyn is a family run business and their food is produced in smaller batches, based on the number of orders we send them. The bi-weekly schedule makes it easy to plan my feeding schedule.
I like the variety. I feed a rotation of two or three proteins and the number of Courtlyn products makes it easy to do that.
The most important reason I feed Courtlyn - my dogs thrive on it. They have thick shiny coats, white teeth, bright eyes, great energy, solid poops and very few vet visits. I couldn’t ask for more.

Lola is the foster dog that got me started on my raw feeding journey. Poor girl was so itchy with allergies, vet put her on Apoquel and Hydrolized Protein Vet kibble.
Nobody wanted to adopt her because the cost was $220 a month! That was in 2015, I can’t imagine what the cost would be now.
I thought there had to be a better way to get her healthy. Did some research, switched her to raw and we never looked back!
The first brand of raw I tried helped her a bit but she still flared up. I tried to do an elimination diet and couldn't figure out why she still got sick. It turned out that brand used mixed organs beef, chicken, pork, whatever they had and it was never consistent. That's why she kept flaring up, their so called single protein food wasn't a single protein at all!!
That's when I found Courtyn and their TRUE Single proteins. I started buying food from Patricia and she helped me so much and told me about the Glacier Peaks Wellness Test. That changed everything! Lola has had zero flare ups since then!
I adopted Lola and now I have a 9 year old dog with perfectly clean teeth, zero vet visits in the last 7 years. I am so happy she is not on Apoquel which is an immune suppressant that causes tumors/cancer. She is thriving, not surviving on a Hydrolized Protein kibble. If you want to extend the life and improve the health of your friends, start feeding them more fresh food.
I believed in Courtlyn products so much that I started working with Patricia and selling food in 2016

We have been a client of Edmonton Raw Pet food for 8 years now for our English bulldog Olivia and have been very impressed. They have the largest variety of products I have seen of any local producer and quality is top notch.
Owning an allergy-prone breed such as a bulldog, natural products are the utmost concern. We decided from the start that Olivia would be eating RAW. Feeding RAW doesn't have to be labour intensive, Courtlyn's products make it really convenient which is contradictory to what most think. They offer both bulk and individual packaging so you get to decide what works for you. We would highly recommend courtlyn products and Edmonton Raw Pet food.
